This reminds me of my grandparent’s house in New Jersey. They lived above the hardware store owned by my grandfather. I was very young when they sold their home and business and retired to South Jersey, but the holiday memories are ones I will always cherish.

I, on the other hand, wrote about a person that just died from Leukemia, tying the image to the great song by Phil Lesh, “Box of Rain”, which he sings about his father dying of cancer.
I’m also perhaps stretching the intent of the writing prompt. I wrote most of my post without reference to the picture, and I would have written the whole post in a fairly similar way if it wasn’t for the writing prompt.
Yet, I felt that it captured some of the idea and wanted to share it.
