A picture is said to be worth a thousand words!
So every Sunday, a photograph, drawing, painting or other work of art will be posted here in the hope that it will inspire writers to draft fiction or nonfiction blog posts or articles, short stories, novels, poems, limericks, haiku or … Perhaps the prompt enhances, explains, illustrates or otherwise dovetails with a post, even though the post itself is not technically about or devoted to the prompt. That’s great, too.
All visual prompts will be linked to their source and available for you to post on your site, as well. Simply hold your mouse pointer over the visual prompt and right-click. You will be able to both save a copy of the image and copy the source link so that you may provide the creator and owner with proper attribution.
The prompts will be published every Sunday morning, but participants can post their work at any time during the week, utilizing Mr. Linky to advise other participants and visitors.
Note: There is no word limit or requirement. In other words, you need not write at least, a minimum of or not more than 1,000 words. The meme is derived from and inspired by the cliche — but not limited by it!
It is my hope that this site will build a community of supportive writers who will become friends and visit each others’ sites, engage in discussion, offer constructive feedback, and encourage each other’s efforts.

I like the writing prompts. May I use this picture in my blog? Thanks for sharing.

Yes! You can use the images on your own site.
Just right-click on the image, select “copy link location” and then paste the result into a browser address bar. It will take you to the page when I got the image and from which you can also download it. You then have the link with which to provide proper credit to the photographer or artist on your site.
I really like the idea you have for your blog. I’ve added you to the list of blogs I visit everyday in the hopes of finding a picture that will inspire me to write something. When I find the inspiration I hope you will let me use the picture that gives me the inspiration to write.
